My experience at first was not good. The salesman didn;t really seem like he knew what he was doing. My boyfriend Mike and I were both looking for vehicles. When we went inside to gather up information, a saleswoman Laurene saw that we were not getting the help we needed. She joined in and asked what vehicle I wanted, what I'm looking for, the necessities the vehicle has to have. She really seemed like she cared. The salesman on the other hand still wasn't helpful to my boyfriend who was still looking for a vehicle. Laurene, let me take the car for a test drive and the salesman didnt let Mike test ride anything, he said "let's just see what happens" as in lets see what car Shamara is getting. He literally waited around and was watching every move we took. He sat at his desk and made small talk, with Mike but at that point, Mike was livid.
The salesman was not eagered to help him, he was only interested in the deal the Laurene was making with me. He constantly kept coming over and interrupting us. By the third hour of us being there, the salesman went to help out another customer which really frustrated us because for three hours Mike was trying to look at cars and test drive. I'm so greatful that Laurene jumped in and helped me find the vehicle that I wanted. Especially since I just got a promotion at my job and needed a vehicle for my 5 month old son. Laurene understood that. I have spoke highly of Day Chevrolet but more importantly I spoke highlly of Laurene, she is terrific. She deserves the commission for helping me get the car I wanted. My first car, she was excited with me.
As a manager for the company I work for, we take pride in what we do and consider the guests' opinions and needs first. "It's the place for smiles." Laurene honored that by going above and beyond.
Thank You,
Shamara Lofton
